No One Is Coming is a devised, storytelling performance about a mother and a daughter inspired by lived experience and infused with Irish mythology and dark humour. This storytelling event is not just about those who live with mental health challenges, but also about those who care for them, love them and grow up with them.
Encompassing elements of Irish folklore, this storytelling performance is full of anecdotes and myth, funny stories and tough home truths. It’s a rollercoaster experience inside a hilarious (if ever so slightly traumatised) Irish woman’s brain.
No One is Coming was created and is performed by Irish storyteller, Sinéad O’Brien. The production was first performed at Amsterdam Storytelling festival in 2020 and enjoyed a sold out run at Prague Fringe Festival in November 2021. Following her successful run in Prague, Sinéad was invited to present the show as part of the Bitesize Festival in London’s Riverside Studios in February 2022. The show performed to great critical acclaim at Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2023, where it was shortlisted for the Mental Health Foundation Award by The Scotsman.
